The winter that wasn't: 2011-12 season ranks among the warmest - Quincy Herald-Whig | Illinois & Missouri News

In hard figures, the average contiguous U.S. temperature in January was 36.3 degrees F, or 5.5 degrees higher than the 1901-2000 long-term average, according to NOAA.
If you look at world wide stats, the Earth has been cooling since 1997 and the polar ice caps have actually been growing. So there's that.

This is based on the unheralded report by a major climate monitoring agency (can't remember the name of it) and largely ignored by main stream media.

The sun is in a low state now and they say will reach it's ebb by 2022 and they have no idea of how long it will stay low--could be hundreds of years and could cause a mini-ice age.

If it's warm where you are (for one winter) then by all means enjoy it. Everyone else is freezing their arses off this year. Climate change because of natural events such as the sun, yes. Global warming because of man (and the insane notion that man can change it) probably not so much.

I suppose that if you built a fire, everyone would be warm?

Did you just (correctly) call the deniers stupid for their methodology and then turn right around and use the same stupid methodology in the very same post?

This is without a doubt one of the most ironically stupid posts I've seen in a long time....and that is saying something for this forum.

Are you another one of the people trying to pretend people say that the climate isn't changing?

Instead of what they are actually saying, that man has nothing to do with the changing of the climate and can't stop it.

Just asking.

It's one of those topics where I genuinely wish stupidity were painful.

(Oops, you are a denier too. Nevermind)

really?

guess what? climate change has been around since the dawn of time on the planet earth. but global warming by man is nothing but a myth. it is nothing but a way for people to scream for more goverment control of someting that does not even exist.

please let me know when mankind can do as much damage to the planet earth as the sun already does.

Odanny is one of the many warmists on C-D who choose to dismiss all the overwhelming evidence against AGW, look at the Fakegate thread for starters

Little odanny isn't even talking about Anthropomorphic Global Warming (AGW) - that is, man-caused climate change. He seems to believe he's found somebody somewhere, who insists the climate isn't changing AT ALL.

I keep asking little odanny if he's even aware of the difference.

Somehow he never gets around to answering the question.

Though he seems to have plenty of time available, to bash that mysterious person whom no one else has seen.

Its called Cimate Change, not Global Warming really. Is the Climate changing? yes of course it always has been always will be. Are humans affecting the climate? Yes of course we are. Are humans causing the climate to change so much that we need to worry about massive ice caps meltings, rising sea levels, quick drastic changes in the climate, mega stroms etc..? No one knows.

No, no, no.....you see, a record cold/snow winter in Europe/Alaska/other areas of the world is ......AGW...but so is the LACK of snow in some areas of the US.

See how that works?
