I believe that those advocating such legislation are expressing their prejudice, and sometimes racism against a group of people who choose to worship differently than they do. They're the low-lifes in our society, the advocates.
sharia law is crazy and dangerous. I don't want any religious zealots to get any power. Very scary. Christians in this country try but have been held at bay. These sharia guys are serious and would not tolerate folks like us debating this.
Anyone that thinks Sharia law is a threat to the US is probably an idiot. The verdict the judge handed down had nothing to do w/ Islam or Shariah law. You'd have a stronger argument that he might have shown bias to a fellow Muslim.

I thought, "I'm not going to challenge you to a debate, and who in the hell are you to require me to read a Koran?"

Why did he challenge me to a debate on the interpretation of the Koran? Why get mad at me and insult me? Why then go on a six-minute rant against me? Why value Islam above Christianity? He said, "They pray five times a day, towards Mecca. To be a good Muslim before you die, you have to make a pilgrimage to Mecca."

The Constitution is sufficient as long as it's adhered to. There are forces out there that are working to remove it's influence - if not the whole thing all together.

Believing in God and believing in Jesus Christ are two different things. Islamists believe in God - not in Christ.
I don't know any Christians who get violent against unbelievers. I don't recall any news stories either. Do you know any?
