Well hot damn, that IRS sure buys some krappy computers, don't they?

From The Daily Calleer - IRS Deputy Associate Chief Counsel Thomas Kane said in transcribed congressional testimony that more IRS officials experienced computer crashes, bringing the total number of crash victims to “less than 20,” and also said that the agency does not know if the lost emails are still backed up somewhere.

IRS Reports New Round of Computer Crashes | The Daily Caller

Crash victims? Lucky thing the IRS has Eric Holder in their corner, eh Democrats?

Must be all of those Packard-Bell Pentium 60's they were using to save the taxpayers from having to buy new PCs.

These guys are f**king pathetic.

I've been using computers since 1992 -- including the aforementioned Packard-Bell P60 that WAS a piece of junk -- and have never had one crash on me.

Typical government morons, circling the wagons to save the boss some embarrassment.

Don't forget the FEC official targeting conservatives also had her emails "lost."

EVERY SINGLE person under investigation for targeting conservatives has lost their freaking emails....unreal....

We live in a Banana Republic.

EVERYONE who may have received or sent an email to Lois Lerner in regards to targeting conservatives has had a hard drive crash losing all of their emails!!!

And the sheep cheer this political corruption and cover up. Just burn the US Constitution like you do an old tattered flag that has no good use anymore.

Shame that with all the database destruction happening at the IRS, that tax records are somehow immune to all of the technological disaster striking.

Depends on who owned the systems. If they said "hey we're trying to recover the emails via other peoples systems, but 20 of those also failed....totally believable. 20 out of a few thousand is fine. But if its "20 out of the 40 people she emailed regularly" thats not ok.

I'd take a close look at failure rates, and models, and find out if these are out of the ordinary or not.

I'm surprised they didn't materially put gold fringe on it yet.
