Just being a Devil's advocate: just because his rent is not too damn high doesn't mean others' rent is not too damn high. You could argue that his situation is not common for most people, and that his candidacy is a reflection of his commitment to others to do something about their rent being too damn high.

You could argue that when the rent becomes too damn high it's time to move to the projects. Maybe his constituents chose to live above their means, and now wants more free handouts (entitlements). You know - that redistribution-of-wealth little thingy that Obama likes so much!
