I think the actual call said they were playing in the street. And he was afraid that no one was watching and the child would get run over.

The Black Panthers has issued a bounty on Zimmerman, dead or alive. The amount is growing as more black celebrities are contributing to their fund. If Mr Zimmerman (and possibly his family) are attacked or murdered based upon the bounty, could criminal charges be brought against the Black Panthers and if so, what charges? Also, would those charges be state or federal? If federal, I seriously doubt Eric Holder would ever bring it to trial.
I do think that qualifies as 'shooting off his mouth.' In essence he injected race into the discussion when there is no real evidence that the shooting was racially motivated, whether self-defense or not.

That's part of the reason hate crimes are so stupid. Unless they have evidence that he targeted Trayvon because he was black it cannot be proven to be racially motivated.
Shiloh, I am not saying the call shows racial bias. I'm saying it shows the opportunity to cool down, and 1st degree is an issue of premediated thought processes.
The call likely discredits him linking his actions as being purely reactionary.
And I shouldn't be surprised by yours. I guess you prefer to pass judgement before the facts are known. Is that your typical position?
