It's highly unlikely that this was a random killing.

The guy looks like a junky and he probably owed them money. They probably warned him and then came back for him when he didn't pay up.

The same question can be asked about many murders. If every person that that was killed on a daily basis made headlines, news papers would be thousands of pages long and there would be nothing but news stations on television. Why does every missing child not make headlines? Why is every person that gets raped or molested not news? Why isn't every murder, every case of domestic violence, spousal abuse or racism in the news? There is something unique and unusual about the stories that make headlines. You can quit with the white man as the victim BS.
