It would seem like racist hate crimes are rising, especially in the Southern USA. People, whites in particular, are becoming racially paranoid of other groups. More discrimination in hiring and housing. People stereotyping each other left and right.

It may because Obama is in Administration even though I, myself, don't like Obama simply because he's no friend to men.

What are the causes of this growing trend? Do you think racism and stereotypes are a genetic trait?

Racism has always been around. People were suppressed for a while, but now with a Non-caucasion (not pure African) President, the growing cultural acceptance of hip hop thuggery, and the poor economy people are starting to come ouit of their shells.

Funny, I thought crime had increased in the north more than the south.

I'm not noticing any increase in racism. Less if anything.

Look at the poor kid in FL who went to buy candy for his brother and was shot dead by the "Neighborhood Watch" guy. He said he felt threaten. Really, a kid with Skittles threatens you.

It's sad, but true. Racism is alive and well. But is it at 1960s levels? No.

No, racism is not a genetic trait. It is something learned and it isn't only whites that can be racist these days. Of course minorities will never admit that.

Whoever said that only whites can be racist? "These days?" So a long time ago, you're saying that only whites were racists?

I'll admit that anyone can be a racist, and i'm not white. Not even close to being white.
