What jock is more shocking than Stern?!

I suspect that you are saying that neither of them deserve to be on a list of the all time Greatest Disc Jockeys. With that, I would agree with you. For example, the Vanilla Gorilla, Jim Wood would be on a list not far behind Wolfman Jack.

The operative term in the title of this thread is "Shock." Stern and Mancow indeed fit on the list but I am confident that Stern has done by far, more shocking things than Mancow. *(but then, I didn't follow early Mancow.)

Howeird Stern, I remember when he was fired from is DC gig when on a fine February day he phoned up the Air Florida desk at National Airport and asked how much a ticket to the 14th Street Bridge cost. Then up in New York we had gems like Hill Street Jews and "The Day After in the Bronx"

Morton Downey, puffing on a cigarette, holding a microphone while someone steps up to a podium with lips and teeth painted on it, the words "Big Mouth" written underneath, ready to state their case.

Classic.

Stern FTW!! I haven't really listened to any of the others, but I've been a Stern fan since the '90s... I don't even care what people think of him, because HS fans know what's really up.

Funny thing is, I avoided him like the plague prior to the '90s - as I actually believed he was the misogynistic woman-hater everyone claimed. Then they brought his show to E! and I decided to take a look, just to see what all of the fuss was about... some 15-20 years later I'm a Sirius & HTV subscriber, and hardly ever miss a broadcast. The man is a genius in my mind, especially for fooling people into thinking he's something he is not. Is he shocking? Yes, at times. Hateful? Nope, not at all.

Stern because above all else he understands how to do radio. The rest are amateurs.

Mancow couldn't hold Howard Sterns "shock jock" strap.

I am saying that Mancow sucks so bad that to put him on this list with a great jock like Stern is an insult to all rational people everywhere.
