You don't think the state of the economy has anything to do with the extremely high unemployment rates of young people? Please tell me which industries are booming right now?
Sure it has an effect. But the fact remains that unemployment is very low among nurses, mechanical engineers, physicists, electrical engineers, civil engineers, mathematicians, etc. There are lots of fields that are doing very well.

And there there are the really bad ones - psychology, fine arts, architecture, ...

I put myself 30k in debt getting my nursing license and consider it money well spent. I proudly send my money in to pay off my loans every month, knowing I'll have no problems getting a job and that I'm making a difference and contributing every day I go to work. You won't ever see me squatting in a park, demanding free crap from working people.

How is owning a gun violent? Just because you own one doesn't mean you are violent. Please explain how having a gun automatically equals violence?

How is a college student, who knows nothing about the direction of the future economy, supposed to know that there won't be any jobs available after they graduate? Our economy is in it's worst state since the great depression.

Here's a great read for you. It shows how the older population is taking much more of our tax money than our younger population. It also shows how the economy is toughest on recent grads who don't have the experience to compete with baby boomers who are hanging on to jobs during tough times.

If you want to place blame, you look at the people who actually caused the situation were in now. It's not the fault of the younger population.

When they obstruct traffic by staging sit down protests and refusing to leave what do you honestly think was going to happen?

It is the perfect storm for violence. I'm not going to debate with you on the issue any further. If the Occupy Movement shows up with guns, don't cry foul. It's the American way right? Possibly the police wouldn't be shooting innocent protesters if the protesters had guns right?

Do you know how close you are to having a mass riot if protesters are encouraged to show up armed?

You don't believe that fine arts are important? Are you suggesting creative fields have no place?

So you want to live your life with no art? No music? No television? No movies? No video games? No gourmet food?

The officer in the video was reprimanded for his behavior. Obviously his OWN police department didn't believe he handled things in the correct way.

How about simply arresting the students?
