Even if you save somebody's life in CA you can be sued for rendering "non-medical help"

County there was a burning apartment building on fire. 2 strong good willed samaritians went into the apartment complex, saving at least 3 children, and some older people who would not have gotten out on their own. How is that different.

The victims were in actual danger and the assistance rendered didn't worsen the outcome.
