Who did he have to pay for the opportunity to run for president?

I'm not saying he paid anybody, I said he owes for that magic carpet ride. People like Ayers parents, al-Monsour, Rasheid Khalidi, and many many more.

Less than two months after ascending to the U.S. Senate, Barack Obama bought more than $50,000 worth of stock in two speculative companies whose major investors included some of his biggest political donors.

One of the companies was a biotech concern that was starting to develop a drug to treat avian flu. In March 2005, two weeks after buying about $5,000 of its shares, Obama took the lead in a legislative push for more federal spending to battle the disease.

He also bought more than $50,000 in stock in a satellite communications business whose principal backers include four friends and donors who had raised more than $150,000 for his political committees.

A spokesman for Obama says the senator did not know that he had invested in either company.
sweet!

"Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of actual work days?"

The answer -- Not much!

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced that he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.
Barack Obama, US Senator

ya gotta love it, only in America. He was ambitious, have to give him credit for that.

The Alaska legislature is in session for 90 days. Sarah presided over 180 days of legislative activiy when she was appointed VP candidate by John McCain.

Co-Sponsoring is not a accomplishment. Getting the bills passed is.

She accomplished a lot as Governor in her tenior from Dec 2006 to July of 2009. She had a outstanding legislative record but she is not the subject of my thread.

roughly 10% of bills proposed are passed. sponsoring a bill or help writing one is still and undertaking.

Its not like you come up with these things over night. Some bills take months to get written and created.
