.......Bashing someones head into the ground is enough justification before he split GZ's head open and walked over his dead body.

In other words, if you carried a gun, someone was bashing your head to the ground, you felt your life in danger, you would send him butterfly kisses???????
you don't know what happened.

Well, we just might see how serious and life threatening those head injuries were if/when an immunity hearing takes place. Amazing that Martin could "bash" Zimmerman's head onto the grass or concrete so brutally, yet Zimmerman felt no need for immediate medical attention to his life-threatening wounds after he killed Martin. Zimmerman may have trouble convincing a judge that he feared for his life in that situation because Zimmerman has already been less than straight forward and credible about other issues in this case.

Thankfully, Mr. Zimmerman was carrying a tool for self defense. Who knows if he would be dead today had he not had it to defend himself from a vicious assault.

You're putting words into the investigator's mouth. He did not say what you think he said, nor did what he say mean what you think it means. The words "hunted" or "tracked" or "instigated" were not used.

coulda woulda shoulda. You are the clueless one here.

There is a good reason why the investigators are lacking evidence: THEY DID A POOR JOB GATHERING FACTS. Look home many witnesses spoke to the media saying the cops refused their input.

You don't know what happened, you are just swallowing all the junk Zimmerman is spewing.

Okay. How do you get from the medics on the scene clearly assessed Zimmerman's injuries (we do not know that, btw) to Zimmerman had life threatening or at least serious head injuries?

I'm not really talking about the police here; I'm talking about the amazing outcome of Zimmerman having his head "bashed" onto the grass and/or cement, in a brutal fashion, and yet he did not seem to think he should pursue more serious medical attention than the "medics" on the scene. Amazing. We're talking about fearing for his life because of the brutal bashing he was receiving from Martin.

all this tells me one thing: There is a big need for the facts to be tried.

too many opinions to decide so flippantly how the death of someone should be ruled

I totally agree!

And the state needs to change the SYG law.

It works the other way around buddy. SYG would have protected Martin in this case
Bottom line is, to determine who is responsible for starting and escalating the situation, as to whether or not SYG can be applied here. If Z backed off and TM attacked him with no or very little provocation and got the upper hand, then Z may have been well with in the SYG guidelines. If he was being being beat as bad as he says, then with SYG he had no duty to find an avenue of escape. That is the major thing with this law, no duty to retreat makes it easier to defend ones self without having to worry about being wrongly prosecuted by overzealous DA's.
