Dear White folks:
Between the racist comments, the constant use of the race denial card (this country's most frequently used "race card") and the absurd claims of White victimhood, you have really grated my last nerve.
Sure, we got teary during The Blind Side and Antoine Fisher; we maybe even gave money to KONY2012 and after Hurricane Katrina; we maybe even donned a hoodie to protest the murder of Trayvon Martin.
I suggest that the Op looks at just who holds the most hand gun i their hands when blacks are killed. Then loo at the highest cause of death amoug young black men and who holds those guns that shot them. I thni perhaps like Cosby says blacks tunr a bilnd eye to the real problems to live with the real facts starring them i nthe face.

That link was pretty powerful, wasn't it. We need to start focusing on the real issue and stop the smoke screens. You ever hear of White on White crime? How about Black on Black crime?
Why is that? Why do "Thugs" have to be black. The majority of crimes commited in the United States are shockingly, commited by ...Whites.
We should fear White people the most of all, if we care about statistics.
Whites are responsible for the vast majority of violent crimes. With respect to aggravated assault, whites led blacks 2-1 in arrests; in forcible-rape cases, whites led all racial and ethnic groups by more than 2-1. And in larceny theft, whites led blacks, again, more than 2-1.
Check out the FBI page on it..seriously.... think about why you fear who you fear or don't fear , for that matter. FBI — Table 43
Dear White Folks; You don't know how easy you have it.
More than likely, most of us white folks don't. And the vast majority of us never even give it a second thought. We just kinda go on the assumption that life's about the same for all Americans. We all have good days and bad days. We have our little triumphs and tragedies and figure that our lives mirror those of 300 million others.
It's uncomfortable to think that the reality could be very different from our fantasies.
[url="http://www.ebony.com/news-views/dear-white-folks-stop-denying-racism"]None of this matters if African Americans continue to die at the hands of guns held by security guards and police officers all without justice.
Police officers are public servants, and work in the public trust, so it's particularly egregious when they misuse deadly force. That's a different issue from citizens firing on other citizens. That's a gun control issue, in part.

Skoro: awareness of how easy we have it is important, so that we can be informed voters and try to enact policy changes that make life more safe and equitable for marginalized populations. "Rule by the majority shouldn't mean tyranny over the minority", as they used to say back in the days of the ancient Greek democracy.
