"Gina was sold into sex slavery at the age of seven and beaten with sticks and aluminum rods. Anita was lured by a friend and then drugged and sold, threatened with being buried alive."
"Such are the wrenching tales of Bombay’s child sex slave trade featured in “The Day My God Died,” a documentary that until this week was screened to fifth-grade students in a California classroom."
“I viewed this video today and I can assure you that it is not anything I ever would have approved for my 10-year-old to view,” Willow Anderson said.
"She told school board members Tuesday she was “heartbroken” she hadn’t been able to speak to her daughter about healthy sexual relationships before “having the subject of human trafficking thrown in her face, unprepared.”
“This is her first experience with the subject of sexuality,” Anderson said.
What this documentary shows is happening in India is an atrocity. It is an atrocity to be dealt with by adults; not children young enough to have it be their introduction into sexual relations. Thank goodness for involved parents, who have worked to put an end to this being shown to 10 year olds.
I am so tired of adults with either poor judgment or adults who use kids as tools to further an agenda. Don't know what this is; but needs further investigation and some serious consequences for those responsible.
Kids don't need to know every evil in this world and the depravity of the sicko's.
The parents should have the right to speak to their own children about matters such as these and not in too great detail.. it is too heavy and too sexual.
Some people have no perception of what is appropriate for young minds. None what so ever.
Has anyone actually bothered to watch the video, or are you going to take some ****ty mother's opinion of it?
I watched it. Did you?
