It's time to tax the CULTS! Every religious property should be taxed like the business that it is.

Hey, you know what, in principle, they should just give the people their money. They are for the good of the people, right? Well, we have a huge debt and lots American don't have either a home, a job or health care.

Isn't this the time for the mega churches to do something?

I also know some Christian Democrats. I know, because I was raised in their home.

PS: My father the democrat said, "never depend on the government in food stamps or anything else. Work three jobs if you have to, but never hold your hand out to the government". That man would roll over in his grave if he knew of the dems today.

Look into the Falwells and Liberty University.

I might do that. I know of Falwell but not Liberty University ... however, for now, lets look at our leader today, vs, the other one of 2012 when I made that post:

Did Trump give clergy more room to preach politics?

Most religious Americans don’t want more politics in their pulpit

"But while Trump and others insist this provision is a victory for the faith community, most religious Americans actually oppose allowing their leaders to endorse candidates from the pulpit."
__________

The wall between church and state was built (in '63) and it protects the church. The first amendment protects religious freedoms of the people. It (Jefferson) also insures that the Roman Catholic Church liken to those of 1500 and before remains powerless, in the collection of taxes, establishing a military and appointing heads of government.

However, it does not was not meant to inhibit (people's freedoms) public displays of worship.

The churches today, give back to their community and now people want to tax that? No assistance from government or from the community churches of the community for the poor ... ?

America use to wage war on poverty, not poor people. What are people afraid of really, as it does make a person wonder wth ... ?

Tax religious organizations and non profits and stop giving credits for charitable contributions. One additional way to pay off the national debt. There are other deductions which should disappear such as child credit for the third kid and up, and the loan interest deductions.

If government taxed the Church, they would get a lot of money, but then the Church would own that government's ass... As if they don't own enough already.

If you take my money, you'd better be good at tap dancing or fill in the blank____...

Only if all the churches banded together. What I have seen from the Christian Faith's that is unlikely.
