No, but if the company closes all jobs are lost. Bain bought companies that were in trouble and losing money. Unlike the government, companies can't do that forever and they eventually close - then all jobs are lost. I guess they could have bought companies and kept everyone's job even if the company was losing money and had a big group hug when the company closed its doors.
