Get Acorn on the phone. They did such a great job registering all these folks so now get them to get their FREE ID's.
This particular law is not about voter ID. This law is about making it so hard to register people to vote that the non-partisan League of Women Voters announced they would not be registering people because of the legal risks.

Most Homeowner Associations dont issue ID cards. Contrary to what some posters here think about Florida, HOA's are not a militant organization that require ID to get into.
See post #40.

Those documents are NOT free, and in some cases, impossible to obtain.
So your poor in Florida have no ID whatsoever and have no chance to ever have ID because everything costs money and they have no money ?

If that's the case there are bigger issues than asking for an ID for voting.

Voting is a fundamental right. I can't think of anything bigger than that in terms of government.

And with such fraud and corruption going on in the US you'd also think that you want to insure the person voting really is that person.

So you then just take this poor Floridians word that he is a citizen? Why? Couldn't any poor person who is not a citizen make that same claim then and vote even though he isn't entitled to?

Not one of you nay-sayers seems to be getting the point that in order to renew ID in Florida, one has to bring documentation of EVERY name change to the local DMV.
Now, just whom is most likely to have a name change?
