Exactly so. Whereas I don't see any Democrats on this board defending Edwards in any way. In fact, quite the opposite. When it comes to morals, the party of "family values" is all talk.

How many of these Edwards-as-leftist-hero threads do we really need? Wouldn't one be enough?

Edwards is a scumbag who is an outcast now.

Contrast that with David Vitter, who the Republicans stood by and re-elected in a landslide after he got caught banging hookers. Or Newt Gingrich, who cheated on his first two wives, yet was a leading contender for president.

Funny how when Democrats get caught behaving badly, the right accuses the left of standing by them, despite them being complete outcasts. Yet when people on the right get caught, they stand by them and rush to polls to give them their votes. That's some rather extreme projection.
