Unions take their members dollars and, regardless of their members political leanings, primarily donate to dems.

They do this to protect their interests.

Corporations take their OWN money and donate to both dems and republicans.

They do so to protect their interests.

Why is it okay for unions, but not corporations, in your mind?

As far as I am concerned, both have people behind them, i.e. both corporations and unions are working on behalf of individuals and/or groups.

[therefore, both can have a voice in politics]

Because unions are their bully pulpits.
Some unions do their dirty-work for them.
Sorta like....the unions can be used as BO's "Civilian Security Force" till he gets that thing covertly constructed. Hmmm....sure have wondered if that's what is going on with this prez.

I"m left and I feel neither should be allowed to donate money to politicians. Ban all political monetary donations

Unlike like righties, I will call out unions when I feel they are wrong. At times I feel some public sector unions are unreasonable. Will a rightie ever say that about corporate America? Hell no

I'm trying to think of a case where jobs were outsourced to other countries by unions and I'm drawing a blank.

Pretty sure many righties called out GM for handouts, a certain so;ar energy corp. GE, and many more.
The rest of your post I think most of us can agree with.

Righties called them out because Obama was rooting for them. Before Obama was President did they ever call out these companies? Hell no?

Righties will criticize anything associated with Obama, even the death of a mass murderer.

WRONG! to your question at the end! I've posted before about our having left Bank of America per their holding a mortgage of ours. Told them to kiss our grits, sort of thing. Spoke a lot about them as well as to them about why we were divorcing them. Encouraged others to do so, too. Went with a local credit union in the state that the property is in.

Been banking with more than one credit union for many years. No more big entities. We're capitalists and support every Mom and Pop business that we can, and we heartily support any non-union entity that has a service or product we need.

Beyond this, hats off to ya for speaking against what you see that is wrong on the left.

It's a lot more rewarding to be a person of Principles over Parties in every way we can. Sadly, there are exceptions to everything. Sometimes, the Party Platform matters so very much that Party does matter.
