He got us involved in unnecessary wars, and wars we are still in and probably will result in any we're in in the next couple of years. He also had to stage the whole 911 thing in order to maintain favorability as the country was quickly turning against him after a year. The deficit was already crawling up when he entered, but it skyrocketed with the military, war, and his policies for socieity and the rich.
He's really one of those presidents who just did not care anymore because he knew he couldn't be president after 2008 and everyone began to hate him. I don't like the way Obama's done a lot of t
hings, but Romney isn't the answer, Obama isn't the answer, and Bush is FAR from the answer. I believe if Obama was white, he would not have half the problems he does.
what? Your post sounds like a conspiracy theory. Why bring up race? If you don't like the way Obama is doing things then what does his race have to do with it?
And, yes Bush was a lame duck in 2008. The democratic congress had taken over in 2006 and would not work constructively at all. Now Obama is finding out what that is like.
The man loved his country, the economy during his presidency was great, and he united the country under crisis. Voted for him in '00, and '04 and would vote him again.
And today you have the current illegitimate smug dictator mocking the great man:
I miss Laura Bush as First Lady. Now that was a class act.
This is by far the best post of this thread. Thank you for saying what needed said.
I wonder how many here heard what The One said about Bush in his introduction. I heard it live the other day and was amazed that even The One would say something like that on that occasion.
So you really would like to have had Cap and Trade passed before Obama went for it. Of course, poor Algore wouldn't have got it done with the Republican Congress but he sure would have tried. Just think how hard he tried even after he was out of government.
Great example of an emotional partisan with blinders. Bush left office with a massive recession. That's after having full control of the government for 6/8 years. The economy he left was a disaster. You forgot to mention that. Your votes are a part of that. I guess it takes honor and courage to own up to your own BS.
I saw the speeches in their entirety. Bush definitely stole the show. Obama got a few laughs as well though. Obama gave plenty of props to W and the former first lady. The entire thing was positive.
I guess the moron right wing blogger who wrote that horrible article in the link needed to drum up some website hits. This is all to do about nothing. YAWAOT.
At some point, it would be nice if all of the emotional partisans on this forum would grow up and think objectively.
When will that be? I ask it because nearly all the moron partisans from the left have made it to this thread and are failing to see what you say you saw when Obama pulled his trick.

Well, to be honest, when he was President I hated him with a purple passion. But compared to the guy that's there NOW, GWB would be a breath of fresh air. Old George was no Rhode's Scholar, but by God he wasn't a socialist, that's for sure.

Nor is Obama. He is, at his most extreme, a liberal or centrist Republican.
