I thought the word of the good book was tolerance, acceptance, and to bring peace to fellow man?
Here is another right wing religious nutjob that has gone off their rocker with the anti-gay sentiment stating: "The single greatest threat to religious liberty in America today is the homosexual agenda. We cannot have religious liberty. I would go as far as to say we cannot have homosexuality in the First Amendment. If homosexuality is embraced and normalized, that’s the end of the First Amendment. It’s gone, outta here, shredded. A worthless piece of paper.”

Only a madman would try to correlate the two. Extremism, and preaching hatred in the name of the "Prince of Peace;" Saint Peter is going to be turning away a lot of people who buy into this brand of Christianity.
Are you just locking on to anything anti-LGBT and bundling it for every other pro-LGBT reader to pat you on the back?
You do realize there are nut jobs from every ideology, including (if not more so) the LGBT community... right?
This character doesn't represent any Christian that I know.
There is no ideology to the issue of equal rights for GLBT people; it's a Constitutional issue. First you suggest that there may be more nut jobs in the GLBT community, then say that this preacher doesn't represent any Christian that you know. Can you not see the incongruity of those two statements?
"Romans 1:26-27: "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence [sic] of their error which was meet."
This is generally what thumpers cite as what the alleged god jesus said about homosexuality. Yep, try finding a consensus on what that gibberish means. Generally, most xians I know believe in a random mix of stuff from the old and new testaments depending on what sits well with them on any given day. So, they'll cite the more definitive passage in regards to homosexuality in the old testament and claim that jesus said it not knowing where it came from. Serial cherrypicking causes these issues.

Yes, and Romans was written by Paul, who never knew Jesus and whose own
instructions in his letters to nascent Christian communities too often directly
contradict what is attributed to Christ in the Four Gospels.

Replace "anti-LGBT" with anti-Obama, and "pro-LGBT" with conservative and the same thing could be said about many topics in this forum.

You thought right. Just because someone CLAIMS to be Christian doesn't mean they are Christian.
There are a lot of "whack jobs" out there. They are the same as those who Christ referred to when he said "Forgive them for they know not...."
It isn't others' behaviors that we should be concerning ourselves with, but our own. God will take care of those that are misguided and bring them back to the fold in God's way.

Nothing was actually written down by jesus, EVER. That's the main issue here. The alleged messiah didn't have a moment to jot something down on a post-it note? It's all hearsay.

Which is true, and I think many evangelical nutcases are really just closet KKK/Neo-nazis that hide behind the bible to spread their hatred and racism.
