This video is a bit long but Jones can talk a very long time when he gets wound out so this speech at the recent NetRoots annual meeting had to be somewhat long. Most of the early part of it is about the election in Wisconsin, last week, and how the national groups failed to help the local union people so they lost.
I would rather listen to Jones speak any day than the orator of the Dem party. I think he uses notes that he refers to now and then but I don't think he reads his speeches. I like his voice and his delivery but seldom do I like his message. This one is just about how the Tea Party will decimate the progressive movement if they win any more control in the upcoming election. He is trying very hard to convince progressives that they have to get together to defeat all those billionaires that fund the Tea Party. Actually many of you people from the left who are the farthest left will enjoy listening to this speech.
Yep when they talk about dividing the country into the haves and have nots, they pretend that their side represents 99% of the 'people' when in reality there is no notable population who actually supports the Van Jones Obama socio political agenda. Their numbers are media enlarged as objects in the mirror appear much smaller than they really are.
There is no appreciable opposition to mainstream America, the wall st protestors proved that. The media created 99% has been quantified and found wanting.
I do not consider Van Jones to be stupid. Maybe what he believes is very wrong but he is not stupid, at all. He knows how to talk to those who really believe him and does it quite well. If we don't listen to him and stand up to him he will decimate and destroy this country since he wants the communist system established here.

He's stupid because he actually believes some of the crap he spews.

Reason: off topic
Two months ago, when Rick Santorum was spewing his unworkable fantasies on a near-hourly basis, the resident Lefties at this site were splitting their sides; now the shoe is on the other foot, as the contradictions in the so-called "progressive" promise of something for everyone, except the guy or gal who can get ion his/her own (and can therefore pick up the tab) is falling apart in the light of economic relality.
If the folks over there in LeftyLand seem a little more isolated from Main Street, it is not because Main Street has moved.

He makes sense, alot of growth was from government interference.
That green jobs thing was a immediate family though.
