I totally agree with your post with one exception...I don't think I would even call the sludge "food".
Bacon and ice cream? In which universe is that even appealing? Burger King Corp. realizes that any combination they offer will appeal to a really dumbed down customer with a totally unevolved palate.
You never know. Michael Symon made bacon ice cream on Iron Chef America and the judges loved it. If that's where BK got the idea from then maybe later we'll be seeing cod ice cream and trout ice cream. Both were made by one of the original Japanese Iron Chefs, Sakai
