It's a stupid commercial; do you need to hear what they're saying? I bet it went something like this: "tough, dependable, #1 in blah blah blah, Motor Trend magazine, etc."
Does it bother you that there are so many Spanish speakers in the country, or that they can afford to buy Fords?
Maybe Ford wanted to market cars to the huge Hispanic population in the Miami area--many of whom were probably watching the last game of the finals. Most of whom are Cuban or from the Carribbean or South America or Central America and not Mexico. Oh wait, let's just discuss illegal immigrants.
Anyhow, I get spoken more Spanish to in Miami then any other place in the country. In the Southwest Mexicans almost always speak English to me and assume that's my language. In Miami, apparently I can pass for a Cuban as everywhere I walk into they just assume I know Spanish without me saying a word. I don't mind at all though...It's sort of fun for a vacation within the states.
I think there's been a couple of Scottish guys on there though. I want English-only. I can't understand thick Glasgow accents... And don't get me started on the Welsh.
I have more trouble with Irish dialects myself. Scottish and Welsh are music to my ears.
