"A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circlue of our felicities."

Thomas Jefferson

The Founders must be rolling in their graves.

Correction: legal residents. Because illegal aliens will be all set. Get to live here illegally and still won't pay a damn fine.

Land of the free no more.
BlaBlaBla, same old Paulbot whinning. Clue, you and I already pay for the uninsured through higher hospital charges and premiums, a rational mind would already know that fact.

Default Obamacare is upheld entirely - Full text of Supreme Court Opinion and Dissent

The Supreme Court merely changed the name of the "mandate" to call it a "tax".

Full text of the Opinion and Dissent can be found here:
http://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/11-393

The upshot is, in a few years, most people will find it most economical to drop their insurance intirely, and only pay the mandated "tax", until they get sick.

Once they get sick or injured, then they can sign up for "insurance", and the company is forced to take them despite their "pre-existing" sickness or injury. They can stay signed up, paying the higher "insurance" rate, until they are cured, then drop the insurance and go back to paying only the lower "tax".

Lather, rinse, repeat.

At least until Congress raises the "tax"... which they will one minute after midnight pretty soon.

Congratulations to the Republicans that Obummer has been completely outed as the liar he is! This joke of a healthcare act IS a tax.

Romney will repeal it.

Okay, here's the thing. The states do NOT have to set up those exchanges. If you can't insurance and your state does not have an exchange, this means you do NOT get insurance. Instead, you get that tax (the penalty for not getting insurance). So, very, very odd decision.

I'm still waiting for a SCOTUS decision in which one of the liberal justices takes a conservative position. They NEVER do because they are all biased ideologues.

It's only the "conservative" justices that ever surprise, because they are the only ones that think. The liberals are incapable of doing so.

Oh well, it will be repealed once Romney gets in office.

very true, once romney is in office, romney can repeal obamacare with just an executive order. after all, if obama can make illegal immigration legal with just a executive order, when it should have gone through congress. then there isnt any reason that romney cannot repeal obamacare with just an executive order.

also, I will be one that will never pay any tax with obamacare. the feds can go suck an egg.

And as any "conservative" like you would add to this... the government should only obey and write a trillion dollar check on health care every year and NOT worry about growing cost because that would be fiscally liberal.
