Yes, whenever they chant JOB KILLING REGULATIONS, I think of this:

GOP targets python rule

At issue is a proposed rule from the Interior Department that would designate the Burmese python and eight other snake species as “injurious,” which would make it illegal to import them or transport them across state lines.
...
Republicans on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee denounced the proposed rule as part of the Obama administration’s “regulatory tsunami.” They said the snake ban could “devastate a small but thriving sector of the economy.”

Snake breeder and herpetologist David Barker testified at a committee hearing Wednesday that the rule would hurt the livelihoods of people like him.
These pythons are sold to individuals and often escape into the wild becoming a hazard for humans, pets and wildlife.

They should be banned -- even if it means the people who are now employed importing and sell dangerous pythons become unemployed. If there every was a clear-cut case for regulation -- it's this, but of course, the GOP opposes it.

But what the GlaxoSmithKline case does is have patients question the motives of their doctors -- is he/she prescribing this because I need it or because the doctor gets a trip to the Caribbean?

As if they were not making enough already they have to cheat as well. I expect nothing more or less from big business.

Or. given the python nonsense, small business as well.

Too late to stop the snakes. They are everywhere. Florida is a perfect habitat for em. They woulda found it eventually. Why do you hate snakes so much. Hell most of your lib buddies would be using stimulus money to build tunnels under the road for em to keep em from gettin run over if they could.

Sorry, Burmese Pythons and the other snakes are not indigenous to Florida and would have never "find Florida eventually" -- unless they evolved to swim from Asia across the Pacific and then slink 3,000 miles across the mainland U.S.

I can't speak for all liberals but I can say for myself that I don't have anything against snakes but regulations and laws that keep dangerous species out of our wildlife are good regulations and laws. I know this goes against current conservative thinking that everything the government does is bad but so be it.

There is a story out this weekend regarding a python escaping and ending up in the apartment next door wrapped around the leg of a baby.

The story also tells of a Florida toddler killed by python in 2009.

Those pesky job killing regulations. Will the Republicans ever concede that the public has a right to safety in their own homes?

IMO, the people who said the importation of things that have no natural enemy are just as guilty as the fools who keep foreign critters as pets.

Snakes would too. They may evolve into long distance swimmers who knows. Like I said it's a moot point as the snakes are running wild and there is really no way to stop em. People weren't indigenous to Florida back in the day either. LOL

The biggest snakes are the thieves operating the drug companies as the article pointed out. Let’s get back on the topic of drug company cheating and fraud.
