Just curious why Republican controlled states have the highest rates of poverty and uninsured? Do Republicans not care about Americans? Or is it they only care about wealthy, white Americans?
Why is it that places like Texas and Mississippi and Georgia Have so many people who are struggling? Is it the Right to Work Policies that are failing people?
Why does the OP think the area with the highest poverty rate, is DC? Clearly they believe there is a relationship between more government = less poverty, right?
Not to mention.... the poorest cities in America (over say 150,000 people) are Detroit, Cleveland, Rochester NY, Buffalo, Stockton, Miami, Newark NJ, Baltimore etc.
These cities are heavily Dem voting
Is there any more ignorance that the OP wants to share with us?

He said states, not cities.
You also said that the poorest large cities in America are heavily Dem voting. Who do the richest cities vote for?
"New Mexico had the highest teenage pregnancy rate (93 per 1,000), followed by Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Mississippi. The lowest rates were in New Hampshire (33), Vermont, Maine, Minnesota and North Dakota." http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/USTPtrends.pdf

Any comparison like this made on the state level is idiotic at best.
Try again OP.
