...and although the article is not about this, as an aside it also mentions that neither President Obama nor Hillary Clinton have visited Israel. I knew the President was never there but didn't realize the Secretary of State has never been there.
How come neither have ever gone to Israel?
Obama is a pro-Arab, closet-anti-Semite. It's in his DNA and in his Muslim roots.
Additionally, he will not dignify Netanyahu with a visit because Netty has defied Obama at every turn. The President is a thin-skinned lightweight, and is incompetent on the political edge of Israeli affairs.
He came into office making demands of Israel (ie. stop settlement expansion) while not making evenhanded demands of the Palestinians. Every President post-1967 knows that you can't approach Jewish affairs with a chip on your shoulder for Jews in Israel.
The Washington Post ran a damning story on his failures in the Middle East this past weekend. It should be required reading of every Liberal, especially the liberal Jews who slobber over Barack Obama.
Perhaps because Obama knows what's going on in Israel, and it's just Romney that needs to go find out what it's all about, for some reason?
Obama does not know what's going on in Israel with any competence to speak of. In fact, the Washington Post exposed Obama on this weakness this past weekend with a damning 3 full page article on his misunderstanding of the Israeli conflict. Obama was even quoted as admitting that he fumbled the ball from the very beginning.

At least he knows when to admit he made a mistake eh?

We give Israel more foreign aid than any other country. Who cares who comes to visit when the checks keep coming?? The only reason Obama visited nearby muslim countries and not Israel, is because Israel has no intention of EVER attacking us. Also Obama and Clinton have both met with Netanyahu extensively, just no on his turf, for some reason.
Basically....Obama and Hillary blame Israel for all the world's problems. They won't even call Jerusalem the capitol of Israel.
Tel Aviv is the capital of Israel. The more peaceful civilized majority of Israelis have no qualms with that. Jerusalem holds too much weight for too many people it to be immediately bound to one nation. Its significance lies in it's status as a locus of three different faiths. It is the truest definition of an international city. The Israeli's have no more claim to it than anything else.
At least he knows when to admit he made a mistake eh?
Making a mistake in a global international conflict by the President of the United States.....who by the way is looked at to be the quintessential mediator......... is not like making a mistake on NCAA brackets. It actually has real-world ramifications. Now we have Israel thumbing its nose at the President and doing what it wants to do. Tell me how that benefits the Palenstinians when in fact the President is pro-Palestinian? It doesn't. Obama is a monumental screw-up.
Admitting the mistake is meaningless on the world stage. We need competent leaders, not someone who signed up for a Presidential Internship.
It really hasn't since neither did Reagan or GW Bush in his first term. Bill Clinton racked up the most mileage outside the US than Obama and the other two combined.
The US and Israel's relations are as good as ever.
President Obama snubbed Benjamin Netanyahu when the Prime Minister was here in 2010 - because Obama was acting like a spoiled brat when Netanyahu wouldn't agree on Israeli-Palestinian relations.
No i don't think that relations between the two countries are as good as ever - and it is 100% Obama's fault.
