And what a surprise it is that the station which twisted the story to rile up the True Believers is a FOX outlet.
Good Lord! Does it ever bother you guys that you can so easily and readily manipulated? Aren't you embarrassed to fall for it time after time after time after time?
The most shocking thing in this thread, so far, is that there is a poster who doesn't know the difference in Fox News and any local Fox station. You are that one.
Oh, look - other news outlets can actually report the whole story without having to twist it into some ideological non-sense. Not that this would matter to the gullible among us. Those guys have absolutely no clue that they are being manipulated beyond good and evil...
And look, it took only two responses before Obama entered the picture on this forum. You people are unbelievable and a disgrace to our species. If I didn't firmly believe in the necessity of having everyone be allowed to vote in order to be represented, I would wish that they'd require a basic intelligence test... Undoubtedly, our nation would be better off.
How long do you think it will be before Obama does what was mentioned? He has stopped Christian breakfasts and other things like that in the White House because someone might not like them to be continued, however, he did allow a Muslim day of prayer and I am sure that many people complained about that.
"Fire Department officials there say they’d been warning for months. It’s against United States “flag code” to fly them from truck windows. The staff has to be firmly fixed to the truck body, or clamped to the right fender."
Another lefty who I had respected as well informed indicates that he doesn't know the difference between Fox News and the local Fox stations that are just for entertainment only. Nice shot but you are so utterly wrong when you call those local stations Fox News. Try to learn how wrong you really are.
Here's another opinion that might be at the heart of this issue:
Just perhaps; as I don't know who or why the complaint was lodged, it was from the point of view that reducing the flag to a rag waving from the window of a damn truck was more than a veteran could stand.
Perhaps the complaint was from someone familiar and observant of the tradition and proper ettiquette of flying the American Flag and believe me; it's not proper to have it flying from the window of ANY vehicle regardless if a fire and rescue vehicle or not! What's next? Hang the thing off the back end of an ice cream truck, coors light, the local "honey wagon" on it;s way to pump out someone's septic system?
Get a grip and think about what you're knee-jerking about here. The emotions stirred with the deaths of all of those firefighters in New York has NOTHING whatsoever to do with a pumper truck in weasel-****-creek Nebraska flying a flag from one of it's windows for heaven's sake. ALL firefighters are not heros by default because of those struck down in New York. They have no more currency or cachet to fly the thing off their working vehicles than do the linesman, snow plow operator's or the guy picking up trash from an interstate.
Showing patriotism by using the flag in such a manner reduces it to nothing more than a common bumper sticker!
I think you may be right about all of your post but have to disagree about the location of the flag on that truck. Maybe you need to look at the link in the OP to determine where the flag was being flown.

None of it really matters because the flag is removed and they can bray on about Fox news. That is what makes their day. It is pointless to even provide the facts like I never claimed a liberal even made the complaint to begin with but facts don't really matter to liberals much if ever. Or the fact that the flags have now been removed. But in the end they did get what they wanted. Once again liberals win and America loses so it goes with Obama as president.

How did liberals win if you never asserted that a liberal made the complaint?
Seminole city management, its firefighters and a resident or residents with encyclopedic knowledge of the U.S. Flag Code have been battling for months about American flags.
The flags' staffs were not "fixed firmly to the chassis or clamped to the right fender" like the Flag Code prescribes.
The resident complained about the improper display, Shanabrook said. So city administrators ordered the makeshift flags removed, and invited employees to come up with a plan that complied with Flag Code.
"This is not us not wanting to display flags, it's more us wanting to ensure they're displayed respectfully," Shanabrook said.
Funny, nothing is mentioned in the article about the political leanings of the resident, and if Obama (the old meanie) was going to ban all flags, as some posters suggest.
Why don't you guys actually read up on stuff before knee jerking all over the C-D forum.
In other words, obtain a life.
