No, I don't try to imply that Russia is a beacon of hope to the world or a "moral" authority of some kind, I just liked the cartoon, it's so precise.

Annotation says, as you could guess: "Foreign Policy of The United States in One Picture".

Another cartoon also resonated well with me instinctively (no politics in that) associating women (Albright, Rice, Clinton) who are/were involved in running American foreign affairs with vampires and ghouls devoid of the stereotypical benign qualities we normally associate with femininity. As I said, it's not "ideological" association, it's more of a primeval kind. German counselor Angelina Merkel, despite her less than ideal looks, doesn't trigger this subconscious alarm.

"America" and "we" are a collective abstractions consisting of those who did and did not benefit from Iraq war and oil. Lots and lots of Americans are happy as clams about Iraq war and its spoils. And guess what, one day they might need to move their lawns or unplug their toilets thus passing the bounty on to the rest of us.

I certainly hope not. We're talking about the friends of Syria and other terrorist nations here.
And so why should we care what they "think" of us?

Talk to people who lived through WWII in eastern Europe. You will hear how the Russians were even nastier (raping, assaulting innocents etc) than the Germans. And that kind of culture doesn't change overnight.... they still can't be trusted.

This is another topic, but for Biblical scholars who study the geographical facts and history, what is now present-day Russia is where the Anti-Christ will be from.

Putin assisted the US "war on terror." Did we ever stop to ask why ?

Your tax money took out Iraq's secular multicultural leader, Saddam,
and freed the Iraqi Shiite Muslim majority who have strong ties to Shiite Iran.

Putin is friends with the Russian navy base in Syria.

Like Saddam, Assad is also a secular, multicultural leader.

You have most of the information... it just needs to be tweaked.

Russia was Christian for almost 1000 years.

Antichrists [plural] conquered and destroyed Christian Russia in 1917.

The culture of Soviet UNRUSSIAN "Russia" was antichrist.

Many ethnic Christian Russians supported the Germans to liberate their homeland.

When the USSR fell, Christian ethnic Russians were freed to reclaim and restore the Third Rome.
