There's some articles on the entire incident in some of the other threads. It describes in more detail what happened and why people were protesting. If I come by the thread again I'll post the articles I find.
In this case I'm pretty sure pknopp is right, the man was simply running away. In the 1st situation discussed, there might have been more to the story.
I guess it comes down to personal experience, I've never been pulled over for no reason at all and I grew up in the inner-city, the door swings both ways.

It does. People are pulled over based on race all the time in this country.
There have been large protests in Anaheim Cal. because police killed two gang members. The police officers thought their life was in danger so I can understand why they would defend themselves.
These gang bangers had extensive criminal histories. Instead of protesting against the police there should be a celebration thanking them for eliminating this human garbage. One of the reasons we have such a gang problem is that there is not enough hatred directed at the gang element. Whenever there is conflict between a gang member and a police officer I will always take the side of the police.
I have little sympathy for gangs, but:
1) There is no such thing as "human garbage". There might be bad humans, but nothing that is human can be garbage. We were created in G_d image.
2) In this country, people are free to protest against whatever they want. Its in the constitution.
Again. Black people are pulled over every day for absolutely no reason.
I never said they weren't, I did say I haven't been.
