I'm impressed by your passion against Walmart.

I buy all my groceries at Walmart. Why pay more?

I'm drinking Dr. Thunder right now.

And they should just make the entire parking lot .. all 90 acres of it .. designated handicap ... and be done with all of those nimrods destroying our environment by circling around and around for hours looking for the best spot to park close to the building

Walmart ranks 2nd on the list of the 12 worst supermarkets in the united states behind Pathmark ..

Walmart is far from the only offender, but they are the worse.

I care about other people and the US. I want people to have a real future.

Why pay more? You are paying more by shopping their. You are paying with the lost opportunity of millions of people. You are paying with the future of this country. You are paying with the miserable life of their drones overseas. And in return for this you get a low quality piece of crap.

To be fair that is something with American culture. People have some psychological need to park as close as possible to their stores. Many people are just lazy.

Walmart usually has a higher percentage of them though. It is this lazy attitude that lets Walmart thrive.

For the consumer competiton which provides lower cost is good. That is why we have laws against monopolies and price fixing because they eliminate competiiton and are bad for the consumers.

I buy the same name brand products at Wal Mart that are sold for more elsewhere.

But that can't be. Wal-Mart only sells Chinese crap. <sarcasm>

What's really sad is that many of these so-called brand names that are sold at the higher end outlets are made in China.

Walmart sells the names too .. the only difference between Walmart and the higher end outlets is that Walmart specializes in selling seconds.

Seconds .. in that these brand items are flawed in some way and couldn't meet "A" standards during the final inspection. Instead of throwing the flawed products in the garbage, the manufacturer sells them to Walmart for just pennies in the dollar.

When Wal Mart came to my area, the town where it located had long lost its downtown shopping area. Wal Mart really was a godsend to the local economy, and it was great not having to drive to the nearest large city to buy more than groceries.

It is called the suburban culture, park as close to the door as possible because I didn't get a car just to walk through a parking lot....though the funny factor is how much they walk inside the store that would make walking in the parking lot no big deal.

Now if you go to an urban area that has walkable streets and good transit, it is much more common for people to walk further distances.
