As long as you ignore all the additional stuff you have now that you take for granted.
Get rid of your internet, cell phone, cable/sat TV, computer, air conditioning, microwave oven, get a simpler less safe and less reliable car that required regular tuneups and got very poor mileage, live in a much smaller home with more people in it, eat out less and have far more limited variety of food available to you, forget flying in an airplane anywhere unless you're quite wealthy... then you'll probably find you can save a lot more money today.
Maybe you're lucky enough to be white and in the north too, so you don't have to drink out of a different water fountain.
