Don't kid yourself. "Death Panels" will be coming. How? Govt. cannot afford to pay for all the benefits they've promised to the SS retirees. They can't afford all the medicare they've promised. Cuts will come. How? They will decide that if you are too far gone, or to old, or a combination thereof, that you don't get chemotherapy, you don't get a hip replacement surgery, or they'll only pay for care just to keep you comfortable till you die.
Heck, all they really need to do to you if they decide your medical costs will be to much is simply not give you an appointment. "Oh, you have an urgent need to see the doctor?, sorry first available appointment is in six months."
