It's sad that in the 21st century we still have to worry about animals going extinct due to hunting and poaching for vanity items.
99.9% of every species that has ever lived on this planet is now extinct. Species will continue to go extinct while new species will continue to emerge. One thing the history of this planet should tell you, life is not static.
Oh, why did I look at a post when I knew there were images included? That pictures with all the tusks in the room is just absolutely tragic. And the little motherless baby elephant. Ugh, I just hate people sometimes. But I'm glad to see Yao Ming trying to change things. I hope he does.

It's one thing to go extinct because of climate changes or natural causes beyond man's control BUT to go extinct BECAUSE of man's greed and stupidity is something completely different. Attitudes like yours courts complacency towards the needless suffering of the creatures we share the earth with.
