I'm not new to that forum. Besides, all you have to do is read a couple of threads down to see some of the titles to know that there is good and bad info available.
At one time I--probably like most Americans--was uninterested and indifferent toward Islam. That all changed on 9/11. Yeah, me too. It was "just another religion" until 9-11. Forever changed my view and continued stories only serve to reinforce it.
The OP must be too young to remember Arafat who was famous for saying peaceful things in English and inciting terrorist actions in his native language.
If 95% of a people in a crowd are good, but the other 5% want to kill you ya better stay out of that crowd.
Especially if that 95% are too fearful to help and just stand by silently and "see nothing".
