Where are all those jobs that Obama promised? Or did he only really promise them to illegals who are eager to work and have no trouble finding jobs here? They seem to be doing great -- in fact remittances to Mexico were way up in 2011 and even up higher in 2012.

We all know presidents cannot create jobs.
And I DO NOT agree with the stand the democratic party is taking on illegal aliens. They should be deported.
I don't agree with every little thing in the dem's platform; however, between the two parties, overall it's the best one.
Homelessness and panhandling in New York City up dramatically
I imagine if you checked, the same would be true of nearly every major city in the country. That's what happens when the majority is getting poorer; plenty of folks get pushed off the edge entirely.
Well, well, well. This is about as dumb as it gets.
The idea of socialist policies would be, among other things, that everybody, regardless of ability, can secure housing and sufficient food through the aid of government programs. In other words, under sweeping socialist policies, there would not be any homelessness. You know, those with more money are forced, through increased taxation, to provide for the less fortunate.
However, if socialist policies are limited - let's say, by more capitalist perspectives that argue that everybody ONLY gets what they work for - then the availability of government-sponsored social safety nets would also be limited.
In other words, your whole premise stinks - because IF "socialist hope and change" were allowed free reign, then there would NOT be any homelessness. It is the very limitation of socialist policies that creates this problem...
Thank you for demonstrating, though, that you have absolutely no clue what socialism is and are simply another person who simply regurgitates bullcrap he hears elsewhere without ever spending a single second thinking about it.
And no - I am not a socialist nor a democrat. Still, being a republican, conservative, libertarian, liberal, or whatever else should not preclude anyone from informing themselves - or, at the very least, understand rather basic concepts.
