In other words, your whole premise stinks - because IF "socialist hope and change" were allowed free reign, then there would NOT be any homelessness. It is the very limitation of socialist policies that create this problem...
Really why don't you try telling that to the Greeks....
France is about to raise taxes to 75% for the "rich" (> 1 million Euros). Problem is that there are only 3,300 French citizens with that kind of income. Wonder what will happen to that number once the tax law is implemented?
Me thinketh the problem in Greece is more along the lines of corruption and utter mismanagement of funds without any forethought. You know, Greece is also not a socialist country, right? But of course you don't. Because you have no idea what socialism is - which you just demonstrated yet again.
I imagine if you checked, the same would be true of nearly every major city in the country. That's what happens when the majority is getting poorer; plenty of folks get pushed off the edge entirely.
We can all admit our very huge, very costly War on Poverty has been a big failure.
Well -- remittances to Mexico are way up in 2012, even higher than they were in 2011. No wonder Obama is handing out work visas to foreign citizens -- they're doing better than ever in his economy.

Funny thing. People try to defend socialism by pointing to Sweden as an example. They also claim that there's a difference between socialism and communism. I guess when one's a socialist, they try to claim that only the very few success stories were ever truly socialist.
Neo-proggy playbook:
"Greece's not really socialist so you can't blame socialism"
"Eastern Europe was communist, not socialist. A world of difference"
"Do you even know what socialism is?"
"Sweden? Oh yeah, they're socialist and look at how well they're doing! Forget what I said earlier. Greece just didn't do socialism right like Sweden did. If Greece just did what Sweden did, then I would say that socialism worked."
There's some of the people who don't pay income tax. I really believe that instead of giving money directly to them you give it to the charities you trust that help them.
