Is there any doubt who does not want to defend this country? Politics over National Defense. Dems are consistent.

Senate Democrats on Wednesday blocked a bill that would crack down on Syrian and Iraqi refugees coming to the U.S. as the debate turned into a referendum on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his policies.

The House legislation would require new FBI background checks and individual sign-offs from three high-ranking federal officials before any refugee from Syria or Iraq could come to the United States. The American Security Against Foreign Enemies Act cleared the House in November in the aftermath of the Paris attacks. It received 289 votes, a veto-proof margin that included 47 Democrats - despite President Barack Obama's opposition.
While it's surely an educated assumption to use one examples as a representation as a whole (totally sarcastic; it's idiotic, and that's the nice way of putting it), what did he do that you think required him to be executed without a trial?
We currently have an 18-24 month vetting process for Syrian refugees. By all accounts, it is incredibly vigorous. Only a small percentage of refugees are allowed to apply, and of those only 50% are approved. How exactly would this new process ensure that the refugees let in are safer than the ones let in now. What exactly does the requirement to have 3 signatures achieve? That looks like mindless bureaucracy to me. I'm not opposed to rigorous standards for refugees, but I am opposed to standards that look rigorous but are in fact nothing more that the result of political grandstanding.
Personal sign offs from 3 high ranking government officials and additional FBI checks, what might those additional checks include. Anybody know since everyone seems to be for this bill so surely you must have the details.
Why just Syrians and Iraqi's are there not terrorists from other countries, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia.
Problem lies with the terrorists can be very friendly and seem like good people.. the two that killed their co -workers during a Christmas party was just that.. we will definitely have more like that happening as they let in more Syrian refugees.. Syria is the hot bed of terrorism.. It isn't like taking people in from Vietnam or China.
