Carney: ", we have no evidence of a preplanned or premeditated attack. "

Carney: "It is, I think, self evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack. Our embassy was attacked violently and the result was four deaths of American officials. That is self evident

The administration was simply trying to turn this into a non-issue in an election year. After a while, they could no longer maintain the lie, so they had to start telling the truth.

This SHOULD be a pretty big deal for Obama's re-election chances, but the media is doing what they've been doing for the last four years and covering for him. There are very few people left in the journalism industry that actually have any journalistic integrity. It's quite sad.

This is just another example of the Obama administration lying to the people. This time they were caught by information that even they cannot deny or spin.

I am, however, waiting for them to blame Bush.

And any outlets that do go after the truth instead of covering for him will be accused of being "biased", "rightwing" or "faux" in order to try and discredit them, as usual.

Racists. You're all racists.

WSJ reporting it was not only an attack, but also...

The deadly assault on a U.S. diplomatic mission in Libya on Sept. 11 was preceded by a succession of security lapses and misjudgments, compounded by fog-of-battle decisions, that raise questions about whether the scope of the tragedy could have been contained.

It was obvious to all thinking Americans, from the beginning, that this was another premeditated attack on September 11th. The current administration lying about it doesn't change the facts. Now they are finally coming clean and admitting what they should have from the beginning. They bungled this one.
