There have been a gluttony of responses to Clint Eastwood’s Republican National Convention speech that saw the famed actor and filmmaker talking to an empty chair as if it was President Obama. Many have gone viral.....“The current administration in Washington is an empty chair,” Jacobsen said. “They just aren’t doing their job for America.”
A few neighbors disagree — vehemently.
“I think it’s a racially bigoted symbol,” one woman said. “And I think it’s symbolic of hanging our beloved president.”
“It very definitely reflects back on some of our unfortunately history,” another woman said. “It’s obnoxious.”

Do you agree with the chair his historically symbolic of something else or represents the current Obama admin?

I call it obnoxious . It wouldn't last long in most places where it would just be considered an eyesore, but in other neighborhoods it probably wouldn't be noticed at all or just look like something kids were playing around with.

Besides, it really isn't such an appropriate symbol. I mean after all, Obama managed to fill an empty chair on "the View" when the UN General Assembly was meeting.
