1) You didn't answer my question;
2) Who was threatened to be fired? And for what?
Anyone is allowed to have their opinions, but expressing bigotry is not part of the military values.
llowing gays to serve in the military is not the same as integration; it's just a social experiment by Obama. This should have never been implemented.
Obama wants to create Gay dorm experiments in a war zone.
You think
None of this has a damn thing to do with Obama.
Chaplains are officers, and they're charged with following "direct orders." So telling them to get with the policy or resign is EXACTLY what the Pentagon is supposed to do.
Obama doesn't set Navy policy relative to bunkmates on ships. That's far beneath his purview.
And saying that this isn't the same as integration is right. Integration was FAR MORE difficult to implement than this is.
Just as in integration this will pass and in 10 years or so all reasonable people will look back and ask why did it take the military to long to accept gays.
Homosexuals try to preach tolerance, but when its the other way around they can't stand it.
They are getting special treatment when they are allowed to abuse other heterosexuals.
For once in your life try serving in the military and being around the men and women who defend your rights.
Guarantee you all your notions of "special treatment" go right out the window.
Case in point - I served with several shipmates who were homosexual yet in the 4 year time period I was on my ship, not a single incident involving them ever occurred. Coincidentally, the only homosexual incident we've had was from a cook who happened to be heterosexual.
