Dodd-Frank bill is a joke and needs to be repealed.

You Dems had control for two years and not only did you do little to help the economy (still above 8% unemployment and on verge of another recession) nothing was done to address anything you mentioned, as well as plenty of other important things that couldve been addressed to help the economy and our future.

Senate Republicans blocked legislation Wednesday that would have established a $1 billion jobs program putting veterans back to work tending to the country's federal lands and bolstering local police and fire departments. Democrats fell two votes shy of the 60-vote majority needed to waive the objection, forcing the legislation back to committee.

And this:

The method Republicans have used to block all jobs legislation in the past two years is the same. A jobs bill comes up, it is filled with positive things for the economy, Republicans filibuster debate, this shields them from having to make floor speeches on why they don't want tax breaks for small businesses... etc.
Senate Republicans Block Another Jobs Bill, Face Backlash From American Public

Some of the other jobs bills blocked by republicans:

Quote:
The Bring Jobs Home Act

The bill was called the, "Bring Jobs Home Act." It would have provided a 20% tax break for the costs of moving jobs back to the U.S. It removes tax deductions for the business expenses of jobs moving overseas.
Quote:
The Payroll Tax Cut Renewal

This tax cut reaches 160 million people and stimulates demand by leaving money in consumers hands. Watch the GOP refuse to allow Democrats to propose compromises on the measure. Economists call this one of the most stimulative possible approaches for increasing jobs in the economy.

1) Oil subsidies arent subsidies at all, but normal business costs, such as deducting employee costs prior to taxes, thats something ALL businesses do because businesses pay taxes on NET profit, not gross..

2) You cant be serious because thats a Democratic stronghold

I'm STILL waiting for your quote that you said was at the link jojajn.

And you still haven't explained how those 5 things are considered SPENDING?

Your entire premise is false and a failure.

We know that one of the excuses made by liberals to defend 0bama, is that suddenly, no president can ever be expected to get any legislation done unless they have a 65% majority control in both houses of congress.

Tell me how does a veteran get a job if not by taking it from someone else? Clearly they should be allowed to do so, but do you really think businesses need an incentive to lay off person A, so they can hire a veteran to get a tax credit?

Come on man, think..

not a DAM job gets created by this crap. Simply putting "jobs" in the title, doesnt mean its a jobs creator..

Actually the dems controlled both houses of congress from 2007-2011, and still control the senate.

1) Are oil companies part of the 47%?

2) Ah.......no. Democrats want to end the abuse. Republicans don't because these universities are in the Republicans' back pockets. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/30/ed...eges.html?_r=0
