Asst. Principal told me there was nothing she could do because her hands were tied and my son hit back to defend himself.

But that was OK. I told my son he did nothing wrong and he did just what he was supposed to do and to not change a thing. I took off those 2 days and we went to the movies and rented him a few video games to play.

What does that say about bullying when the victim gets in almost as much trouble for DEFENDING themselves ?
It's like the schools want you to do nothing and get the crap beaten out of you either physically or psychologically.
They want you to take it and then run off and "tell them" so they can fix it and make everything OK ?
Well that's not working.
That's the craziness of the new "zero tolerance" policies, which are based on the craziness of self-defense laws in states like mine. I guess the administrators in the schools in my state figure that if they can go to jail for defending themselves against an attacker then a bully victim can get suspend for defending himself against a bully. It teaches them life skills to get ready to live in the state.
