Full Year 2012 deficit fell to $1.089 trillion, $207 billion less than 2011. (Congress, Obama, dollars)

Look, I know there have been hardships and issues and lack of flexibility in Congress, but the deficit is still a TRILLION dollars. Yes it went down 200 Billion and that's great, but the fact that it is still Over a Trillion dollars is pretty much unacceptable.
All of Congress and the President should be completely and totally ashamed of this complete BS.
Saying at least the deficit is ONLY a trillion dollars is ridiculous, no matter how you spin it

Myopic.
This is moving in the right direction. Rome was not built in a day.
The federal government’s fiscal year 2012 has come to a close, and CBO estimates, in the Monthly Budget Review, that the federal budget deficit for the year was about $1.1 trillion, approximately $200 billion lower than the shortfall recorded in 2011. The 2012 deficit was equal to 7.0 percent of gross domestic product, CBO estimates, down from 8.7 percent in 2011, 9.0 percent in 2010, and 10.1 percent in 2009, but greater than in any other year since 1947.

This is like saying you cut off both my legs and one of my arms completely but thank you for only cutting my last remaining limb off 1/4 of the way down my humerus.

I agreed that it is great it is decreasing, but we have to set some type of standards. A Trillion dollars is NOT ok. Rome wasn't built in a day, ok, if its going to take longer then you need to cut some spending out immediately, or do something because a Trillion dollar deficit is unbelievable.
The inability for the government to do what it needs to to reduce that is what I say is messed up and ridiculous. If I had come in and just said WORST PRESIDENT EVER or something along those lines and just written it of...that would be myopic.
I qualified my point. Saying this is ok is way lower standards for this country than I'm willing to have. I understood the first year and high deficit, I understood the second year with the slow movement when it went from 1.4 to 1.3. When it stayed at 1.3 it felt a bit rough, but now to have a whole other year with an over 1 trillion dollar deficit is absurdist. At some point somebody needs to cut something.
a 1 trillion dollar (for ONE YEAR) deficit, is a good start???
