I love that saying, but tell me, what official document of these united states says those words Lincoln spoke?

Much like the declaration of independence, might give us a moral direction, but doesn't mean a damned thing in law.

Lincoln suspended the rule of law, nationalized entire industry and pissed all over the constitution during his term. He isn't a conservative hero by any means. Lincolns sins echo in our abusive, overbearing government today.

I never read websites people want you to click on, but I wondered if anyone else noticed this difference in the candidates during the debates. Obama really thinks the government is the power. I say, "of the people, by the people and for the people." We should never think of the government as the source of our happiness. God should be the source of our happiness if we are Christian.

Watch the next debate and listen to what Obama really says. This could be why he thinks the government should be controlling who gets medical care and how much and who is allowed to eat what they want. The only thing our government is supposed to do for us is keep us safe from others who want to harm us. It does not need to be starving football players in the school lunch line or telling parents what they can send to school for their children to eat for lunch. I am looking forward to a law suit on this issue. Government keep your hands out of the mouths of our children.

Wow. Not just the poster, but the speakers in the article isolate one phrase and paint it on not just the president (who DIDN'T say that, BTW), but all democrats. Both sides play these silly games. It makes it hard to respect them.

Semantics. Obama believes it, it was Obama's convention. Christie reminds those in denial about Obama's agenda.
