Hypocrites abound.

Its why I'm voting for Gary Johnson.

Most folks I know that are voting for Obama are scared of losing medicare and social security. Which is silly, because Obama hasn't put a plan to make them solvent either. But most conservatives I know think Romney will be better on the debt, and the economy. I don't undertand either position really, they hold no basis in reality, either way.
The way that I look at it is, results! Which candidate can help our economy?
1. Obama: well, he has proven that his "plan" does not help the economy at all. He does not care about high gas prices. He does not care, or does not attempt to put a dent in the unemployment rate either. He turns a blind eye to illegal immigrants, and he wants us (taxpayers) to support them.
2. Romney: He is a businessman! He is rich because he knows how to make money. he has been CEO of major companies, and he has a successful track record. He came in and saved the 2002 winter Olympics. Doesn't it make sense that he would be a better option to turn around our economy? It is a no-brainer!
Now, if you want to argue for Obama on other issues then that is another story. But, if the economy is your #1 concern then Romney has to be the better choice.

Romney hasn't proven to run a state effectively, and "successful businessmen" don't have a good track record of running the country. Hoover ring a bell?

Thats the problem, they see the country as running a business, when government isn't about making a profit, as good business is.

And as I said, if your voting to cut the deficit, then voting for Romney makes you hypocritical. If you just want to vote for Romney because you think he'll do a better job while increasing the deficit, feel free.

Has anyone noticed that on one hand right-wingers argue that spending more money on most things, like education has no correlation to higher performance, yet when it comes to the sacred War Inc., cutting money from it will inevitably lead to weakened performance?

hypocrytical? Obama has done nothing but increase the deficit. Have you noticed that the tea party basically took over congress in 2010? Do you know what their fiscal policies are? I don't care how Romney tackles our economic challenges as long as he fixes the current situation.

The 2002 SLC Winter Olympics were saved by a $1.3 Billion bail out from the Federal Government.

The Salt Lake games got more taxpayer dollars than all of the previous U.S.-hosted Olympics combined.

I didn't say Obama is doing a good job. As I've said, many times in this thread in fact, Obama is doing a bad job. But what Romney is saying he'll do as President isn't any better, in fact, since I'm worried about the deficit it appears that Romney will be worse.

Its why I'm voting for a third party candidate.

We'll just have to wait and see. History will be the judge.

Yeah, cause we can really afford to wait and see.
