The "Fiscal Cliff" takes effect this January. Unless Congress acts and the President approves, taxes will automatically go up and drastic cuts to the federal budget will take effect. Expect more fireworks for the December holidays.

How is Obama going to fix the deficit? By spending more money of course, everyone knows you get yourself out of a hole by continuing to dig.

The math has been done over and over again, and it doesn't work out. Try again. You're going to have to cut spending somewhere. You also have to get through the GOP Congress which will not let a single Obama item through.

He simply won't. Obama didn't do anything when he had full control of congress, what makes you think he'll do anything in a second term?

Actually gridlock is the only good thing to look forward to in the next 4 years. Obama is such a wild spender and big promiser. His open borders and unlimited immigration alone are going to end up costing many billions and will put more Americans out of work.

And thats tuff, to all those who voted for him, you already knew what these past 4 years are like. And your really willing to go back to this. So when you lose your jobs, a home, a job to an illegal, too dang bad.

Gridlock is an understatment. Country is going down, you will see. But you also deserve it.

And now the idiot, can really do what he wants, and knows that he can get away with almost anything.

Is any kind of effort going to be made to finally get this under control? Its to the point where it is basically gutting the future every year with how much we are adding onto the national debt
What makes anyone think it would be fixed? Much bally-hoo about it but it ain't going anywhere but up, regardless of the public office holders.

Intentional?

However - without even a tiny mandate and a loss of the popular vote, he doesn't have the same authority to act like a king like he did during his first term.

Time will tell -- he was promising again just yesterday that he's going to pour billions of dollars into the housing industry because those are great jobs for hispanics -- obviously the illegals are dancing in the street thinking they are now to get everything they demanded -- but we'll see if Obama can deliver what he promised -- he may find he promised way too much.

It won't get fixed, but will likely get worse. They can blame congress all they want, but we have a closed-off, non-people-person, loner in the White House who is unable to work with anyone who does not agree with him. That is a huge aspect that few want to talk about for whatever reason. It is why I continue to say Obama lacks the leadership skills to be president.

With republican obstructionism, it's not going to be fixed.

Did Republicans deliberately crash the US economy?
Be it ideology or stratagem, the GOP has blocked pro-growth policy and backed job-killing austerity – all while blaming Obama
