If America hated them they'd not have pulled even or ahead on the popular vote.

I agree the last 2 R candidates were hideous. I got into a screaming match with one of my congressmen a few years back about how much I despise Romney and would never, ever vote for him. I can't believe those in positions of power couldn't find and convince someone decent to run.
Don't be so pessimistic. The best thing now would be for this country to divide into 2 or 3 different countries, and the election map shows pretty much how the divisions should be. We're closer to that than almost ever.
Much of the country is solidly against Obama and his socialism. He lost the popular vote by a very large number. We didn't get another liberal neo-con Republican in the White House. Slight moves away from the current course really aren't what it's going to to take to get this nation back on track, we need a major overhaul.
Texas friends and I have been talking about how Texas can secede from the union and get all the southern states to join us.
