If optimism were experience point you're looking at gaining 26,000,000,000,000 points of experience...

You'll be something like a level 2,400,893 or something.

Maybe you can finally cast that Greater Invisibility spell you're going to need when everyone realizes you were part of the 62,000,000 who went headfirst into the shallow end of self-delusion.

Labor union leaders emerged from talks with President Barack Obama on Tuesday vowing a side-by-side battle against Republicans to bring about higher taxes on the wealthy as part of an effort to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff.

"It was a very, very positive meeting," AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka told reporters in the White House driveway after the meeting.

"The president, like we are, [is] committed to preserving the tax breaks for the middle class and making sure that rich people pay their fair share. He's very, very committed to that, we are committed to that," Trumka continued. "We are very, very committed to making sure that the middle class and workers don't end up paying the tab for a party that we didn't get to go to. And the president is committed to that as well."

Mr. Trumka, and Laborâ„¢ is doubling down on $5 billion a year paying for a $15,000,000,000,000 fantasy.

I'm more optimistic than last week, as 2 years ago, I was and am a fan of the Obama/Boehner Grand Bargain. Now, Cantor is deflated, and if those 2 can striike a deal, it will pass the House.

Politico was invited to post 2010 Bargain conference call with GOP, as well as last weeks. They reported little negative feedback last week when he indicated compromise was now required. A lot of negative feedback in 2010.

Last Tuesday, in effect, Cantor was taken to the woodshed. That helps the pragmatic Boehner.

The war in Afghanistan is winding down and we'll hopefully have an era of peace around the corner. The economy isn't great, but is showing signs of slowly getting better.

Maybe now that the divisiveness of the election is over, Democrats and Republicans will actually be able to work together again. Time will tell. I just feel oddly optimistic right now and wanted to see if any other feel the same.
Optimism? We're $16 trillion in debt, about $200,000 per federal income tax payer, In another four years it will be $20 trillion, with no clear fix in sight. We'll get out of Afghanistan and more 14-yr-old girls will get shot for advocating education for females. Or more likely they will never advocate in the first place. Libya will be taken over by militant Islamists, Egypt will blow up the pyramids a la the Taliban blowig up Buddhist shrines in Afghanistan, probably funded by our tax dollars.

We'll continue with 15% U6 unemployment, and with the DC region as the richest and most prosperous region in the nation.
Optomistic? Seriously?
